Embrey Mill is excited to be working with The Virginia Bluebird Society to bring bluebirds to Embrey Mill.

Earth Day is an annual event that started on April 22, 1970 to celebrate the planet’s environment and raise public awareness. Earth Day has turned into a worldwide celebration with rallies, conferences and outdoor activities and service projects.

At Embrey Mill there is a large population of young parents with children under the age of 7.  Embrey Mill offers great outdoor spaces and parks for the children to play and enjoy the outdoors. 

Virginia’s Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains are home to four ski resorts that offer downhill skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing. Fortunately, for our residents they are all just a day trip away from Embrey Mill.

The dates of the national Cherry Blossom Festival will vary each year depending on the weather, but the best time to visit is usually March 15 – April 16. Living at Embrey Mill, puts you in a central location to other various cherry blossom destinations.

Just because it’s no longer just the two of you, Valentine’s Day can still be a holiday filled with lots of love for the entire family.

The sun was barely awake as ghosts and goblins, clowns and emoji’s started their stretching to prepare for the Second Annual Halloween 5k and Monster Mile Saturday morning.  The Jeff Rouse Center and Embrey Mill sponsored the race with 377 registered racers.

Do you need a little less stress and a little more magic in your holiday? If so, look no further than Busch Gardens Christmas Town in Williamsburg, Virginia. It’s a place full of Christmas magic, so close to home.

Want to know a secret? Embrey Mill gets an early visit from Santa every year right before Christmas!  

S.E.R.V.E. began the mission of helping Stafford County families in emergency need in 1979, This was when a devoted Social Worker and three local Pastors came together to form Stafford Emergency Relief through Volunteer Efforts affectionately known as S.E.R.V.E. 

The Knight family cemetery is located on the farm formerly owned by the Knights and later, by Jackson Musselman, son-in-law to Lewis Knight. The cemetery contains several graves; however, only two are inscribed.

If you’ve been to Dogwood Dog Park in Phase 1, you’ve probably noticed the fenced-in area immediately to the right of the entrance. This is our community garden, made exclusively for the use of residents living in Embrey Mill.

Commuting to work (especially if you live in the Stafford area but work in D.C., Fairfax, or Woodbridge) can be a huge money and time saver. It can also be a great way to make friends and lessen the impact on the environment.

What’s a better way to relieve some stress for both, mom, dad and the kids by having a fun family day at one of the many Fall Festivals right in here in Stafford County?

As things heat up at the local high schools, it should be noted that two prominent schools – Colonial Forge and North Stafford – have a long-standing sports rivalry that, once again, will be in full swing.

With Embrey Mill being centrally located near Washington DC and several military bases we understand what it is like to have so many of our loved ones, neighbors and friends, fighting for our freedom. Lighting our front porch green is a small token to show our gratitude.

Every year Embrey Mill’s HOA holds a family focused Fall Festival. Imagine Super Hero’s, Jedi, and Power Rangers taking over Embrey Field as they come to play games and compete for the best costume prize.

We are very excited to see this project get under way, as this change will benefit everyone living at Embrey Mill by reducing traffic jams and by providing faster commuting times. This is a great development for Stafford County and we are so pleased that they will be beginning construction soon!

Here at Embrey Mill we are proud to say that we have total “Walkability” in our neighborhood. Our goal at Embrey Mill was for you to come home, park your car and leave the busy lifestyle behind you as your enjoy all the community has to offer.

It’s time to chill out and enjoy the 2^nd Annual Embrey Mill Chili Cook-Off as an Embrey Mill resident. This is a family fun event where everyone can enjoy the afternoon in Festival Park flying kites, throwing Frisbees, tossing the ball and just Chill-ing.

On February 13 U.S. Army Sgt Michael Goodrich and his family toured their future home.  The Goodrich family was awarded this beautiful custom built home by the “Operation Finally Home” program. Sgt. Goodrich was injured in Afghanistan on his second deployment.

The Colonial Forge Athletic Boosters hosted their 18th annual Artisan Bazaar at Colonial Forge High on October 29. The event brought together over 125 crafters and vendors from the local area.

On Monday, November 14, 2016. The Goodrich family, Army Sgt. Timothy Goodrich, his wife Jacqueline, daughter Lucy, 8, son Tag, 4, and service dog Maci, were welcomed by a crowd of Embrey Mill residents, Stafford County officials, and representatives of both Newland Communities and all of the builders at Embrey Mill.

During the Washington Wizards game that took place on Veteran’s Day, retired U.S. Army Sgt. Timothy (Michael) Goodrich and his family got a huge surprise during halftime that they did not see coming.

In 1918 the armistice that ended World War I was signed on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The armistice meant the five year war was over.
