Fabulous Fall Festivals for the Entire Family in Stafford County
It is that time of year again; the kids are back to school! We all know the first few weeks of school can be stressful for families with getting back on a schedule, making it to the bus stop on time, packing lunches and helping with homework. What’s a better way to relieve some of that stress for both, mom, dad and the kids by having a fun family day at one of the many Fall Festivals right in here in Stafford County? Clark’s Farm – Clark’s Farm fall festival is open seven days a week from September 24 through November 1, from 10am to 6pm. There are barnyard animals for the kids to see, a hay mountain they can climb, and they can try and make their way through a large maze. There is also face-painting, pumpkin painting, pumpkin bowling and a moon bounce. On weekends they can even enjoy a pony ride. The Boo-tique gift shop sells all kinds of fall and Halloween décor, gifts and pumpkin carving supplies. Also available for purchase is McCutcheons jellies, jams, apple juice and cider. Stafford County Agricultural and Homemaking Fair – Come out to the Stafford County Fairgrounds October 16-18 for this free community event. With music, carnival rides, food and craft exhibits, a petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin patch, antique cars and more! There is plenty here to keep everyone in the family entertained. Harvest Festival at Potomac Point Winery - The 11th Annual Harvest Festival at Potomac Point Winery is September 30, 11am – 5 pm. It is a day full of family fun including fall games (for adults & kids), shopping, vendors, festive foods, grape stomping, guest wineries and live music!
