According to the Washingtonian, Stafford County is expected to see a 141.4% rise in population, with neighboring Spotsylvania County expected to rise 137.2%, and Frederick County (VA) expected to rise 77.8% by the year 2040. Commuters have a few options when it comes to getting to and from DC. The high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes make for a smoother drive into Washington DC; it can take just under 50 minutes! In addition, there are 3 VRE stops around Stafford that will take you directly by train into Union Station.
